First the tub is washed with a solution which removes any impurities from the surface. If there are any cracks they are repaired at this point. The tub then is hand sanded during the preparation process. The walls and floors about the tub are masked as well as the other fixtures in the bathroom. Next the tub is sprayed with a primer. Our technician then sprays three finishing coats on the tub. The tub will dry in a matter of hours, however we recommend you let it cure overnight. We use a venting system which helps reduce the fumes even if you don't have a bathroom window.
We provide you with a care and maintance sheet giving you the do's and don'ts of a reglazed tub. By following it you'll have a new looking tub with a glossy durable surface that will last for years.
